zBrush- Polypainting 3

More done. Worked out my color pallet for the clothing (cloth leather). Still have to work out the metals as the tests didn't go well together. Unsure if the gems will stay that color as well since I want them to glow.

zBrushing

Teaching myself zBrush has been a wonderful challenge. I feel like I'm just scratching the surface on what this program can do. More soon!

Hot metal 2

Our group also plays the Star Wars MMO, so they had some suggestions on the design. I made a hot and cooler version.

Character Design: Random character generation

Recently I was directed to an awesome blog called "Character Driven".  http://itscharacterdriven.blogspot.com/
The beauty of it is you get a random assortment of traits for a character. When I pushed the button I got

Squatty
Disturbed
Progenitor
Who may/may not be a Satyr.

So, here's the process!

Line art

Compositional elements

B/w composition

First draft of colors

And final touch ups.

I highly suggest giving it a try and see what you get!

Character Modeling

The beginnings of polypainting. I think I have to adjust the texture of the pants since it doesn't read well at a distance.
